Mara demonstrates the core values of a nurse and more. Mara recognized my wife and me when she came into the room from our last procedure prep almost two years ago. Not only did she remember faces, but she also remembered my occupation as well as what our son did. Mara made us feel like more than just another patient. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question thoroughly, never talking down to us. She listened to my concerns, never making me feel like she was in a hurry. Mara was very friendly as she systemically went through her jobs, smiling and relating stories about her own children as we had done about our son. I truly do not know how she could have done a better job getting me ready for my procedure.
