My mother was admitted with severe Respiratory Issues. After several moves from floor to floor the last time she was on 5th floor and she was lucky enough to have an amazing nurse named Maranda. While she was only able to be with her one shift she was simply amazing. She was always checking on her, answering all of my hundreds of questions while caring for so many others. She would explain in detail to me her health complications while addressing the needs of my mom who was also having severe sun-downing and disorientation. She was patient, she was kind, she was compassionate. She always had a smile on her face even when mom could be difficult with her disorientation. We were very fortunate to have had her bless our lives. Maranda stood out to me during a time of need and despair. She was a breath of fresh air her whole shift and never stopped a minute to care for all of her patients. She was placed in our lives at just the right moment and shift of changes in me and my mom.
