Marc Basit, BSN, RN

Marc, a rapid response team member, had to respond to a rescue call. My husband had collapsed from bleeding profusely. He was unresponsive, his eyes were rolling over, and his tongue stretched out of his mouth. I shouted, "We need help!" The nurse came and called for help as I continued to fan my husband, as he was sweating profusely. Marc came in and went right to work with his team, like a well-oiled machine. My husband gasped back to life with a clear breath and looked up at me. I was so happy. He called my name. I do believe that if Marc had not come in and done what he did, my husband would have been in a worse crisis. I don't know how many lives Marc has impacted, but he has greatly affected our lives.
