Marcela is one of the most seasoned and amazing nurses in our unit. I was working as Charge Nurse during the night shift and my dad was scheduled to have a Cardiac Angiogram the next morning. I had mentioned the details about my dad's procedure to some nurses but never asked anyone to come early.
At 5 am, Marcela showed up to work early even without me asking her to do so - knowing how stressed I was so that I could go home early. This was such a kind gesture on her part. It made me love my job twice as much as I am so blessed to work with caring and compassionate nurses like Marcela who go above and beyond to back their fellow nurses up when needed. Words cannot explain how grateful I am! Thank you.
