Marcy took care of my mother on the day my mom needed to have emergency surgery, it was also the last day my mom was awake and alert. My mom had asked prior to going down for surgery if she could sit at the edge of the bed and dangle her feet; unfortunately, my mom was too critical to do that. As Marcy was preparing to take my mom to surgery, my mom asked to keep the bed in a chair position so she could remain sitting. Marcy did everything she could to keep a promise that mom could sit. She even went as far as a joking with mom, which mom did enjoy, asking if mom "the queen" was ready to go to surgery and practiced "The Queen Wave"! I can never thank Marcy enough for making the last memories of mom being alive and awake funny and amusing, just as mom would have wanted.
