All it took was a little "spa day" to put a smile on one patient's face and Marci was right at the bedside to help. In the words of Marci's nominator, "She is the epitome of nursing. She has a nursing heart, mind and spirit."
After spending some time talking with a patient and her father, the patient voiced she was in desperate need of a manicure and Marci found herself completely engaged. Without hesitation, Marci offered to come in on her day off to give the patient a manicure. The patient was overjoyed. "What a heart to take time away from her family on her day off and come back to do my baby girl's nails," her nominator (the patient's father) said. "She was so appreciative of the whole thing; it turned into a "spa day" at Saint Agnes.
