Over the past few months, I have received numerous compliments about Marcia and the care she gives. Marcia is a night shift nurse in the PACU, most of the time she has about 1-2 hours with a patient before they are admitted to their inpatient bed. Occasionally, the PACU will hold inpatients overnight for their care. When Marcia is working, I consistently hear that a patient wants to speak with me first thing in the morning. As a manager, most of the time, we hear only the complaints, but each of Marcia's patients rave about the care Marcia has given them. One patient even said, "I would put her in my will if I had enough money". Another patient said "It was a blessing to have Marcia as my nurse. I could tell she loves her job". Marcia is a wonderful asset to the Perioperative Department and to the patients we care for. She exemplifies the mission of Eskenazi to the fullest.
