June 2026 Honoree
Marcia Myers, RN
I want the whole world to know how amazing Marcia was and how much she meant to our families. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and the roles she played during our short time together left a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. If I didn't believe it before, I sure do now. God has living angels here on earth to serve such significant purposes.
---
My family member, who was the patient, had a bad reaction to a medication, which caused her a whirlwind of issues. From that moment, Marcia never left her side. She stayed until the baby was born and saw that the mother was doing well. She stayed well past the end of her shift. She cared for my family as her own children waited for her at home.
---
Marcia brought food boxes, warm blankets, and drinks for our family. She kept the patient cozy in bed while coming up with plans of action to help with the pain. She was a boss! Even the doctor came in and said, "Do I even need to scrub in?"
---
Marcia cared for a patient with a dropping temperature and was proactive in stopping her bleeding. The way she guided her through pushing resulted in the most graceful delivery I have witnessed, and I’ve witnessed a lot of deliveries. The patient said there is no way she could have done this without Marcia. We all have so much love for Marcia. She is the epitome of above and beyond. We will forever be grateful!
