Marcia Proulx, RN

Marcia joined our Emergency Department team in 2022, bringing with her over 10 years of experience from larger healthcare facilities. As a charge nurse, she exemplifies strong leadership and consistently delivers patient-centered, compassionate care.

Her recent DAISY nomination stems from an incident in January 2025, when a patient experienced a medical emergency in the hospital bathroom after lunch, losing consciousness multiple times. In a moment of distress, the patient called for help. Marcia responded immediately, crawling under the bathroom stall to reach the patient, placing them in a wheelchair, and ensuring a swift transfer to the Emergency Room. The patient later recalled Marcia’s caring eyes and calm presence as a source of reassurance during the frightening ordeal.
