My daughter was in the hospital at IMED on T9. She had several great caregivers, but none held a candle to the amazing care provided by Marcly Cineus. I was present during my daughter's assessment and medication pass. Marcly checked all of the boxes for best practice. When he left the room after completing his assessment, my daughter turned to me and said that he was the first nurse in 4 days to actually do an assessment. He was thorough and efficient. She said that he was also the only nurse who did the BMAT assessment. This was the first time she had seen this assessment in the hospital, and learned why he did it and what it meant as Marcly taught the PCT. Marcly also reviewed medications with my daughter and discussed why she was taking them and the possible side effects. He also reviewed her labs with her! When she asked for medication, he made sure to tell her that he needed to address another patient and that he would come back after that. As a manager of another acute care unit at this hospital, I can honestly say that Marcly checked all of the boxes for being one outstanding nurse. Marcly's attention to detail, time management, efficiency, compassion, and knowledge definitely made him stand out amongst his peers. He truly is an asset to the nursing profession, and Intermountain Health is so lucky to have him in its service.

My daughter has been in the hospital enough to know what care she should be receiving. Taking the time to review labs and medications, properly assess, and follow through greatly improved our trust in his ability to provide excellent care. She felt safe and comfortable in his care.
