During this time, she has been appreciated by her colleagues as a supportive nurse who advocates for the nursing profession by embracing and sharing any gained knowledge with all nurses in her care.
I would like to nominate Ms Margaret Elizabeth Aitchison for The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ms Margaret is our Act Deputy Director of Nursing /Assistant Director of Nursing for Surgical Specialized Division at Security Forces Hospital Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ms Margaret has been nursing for 45 years and joined Security Forces in 2014, first as a Head Nurse, then as an Assistant Director of Nursing until finally our acting Deputy Director of Nursing. Ms. Margaret has been an inspiration to our staff and the multidisciplinary team, enhancing hospital services as an active team leader in our Decontamination Unit Design and Installation, as well as part of our design team for our Burn Unit and our Transitional Care Unit and CSSD from design to commissioning in our hospital.

Throughout her career, Ms. Margaret has strived for educational improvement, starting as an Enrolled Nurse Bridging to Staff Nurse, then working her way through her Bachelor's Degree and Post Specialized Diploma in Critical Care and Operating Room Nursing, then her Business leadership diploma as well as her Post Graduate Msc Diploma in Leadership and Clinical Governance. This was achieved while working full-time.

Her career has taken her from Scotland to Hong Kong, Scotland, and finally to Saudi Arabia. During this time, she has been appreciated by her colleagues as a supportive nurse who advocates for the nursing profession by embracing and sharing any gained knowledge with all nurses in her care.

Ms. Margaret has been part of improvement teams from the National Level to the local level and is seen as a clinical expert in her field of Nursing. Ms Margaret has the respect of all the multidisciplinary hospital teams she has worked with and the Senior Hospital Management Team.

This DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award is very deserving of this humble nurse who works tirelessly without the thought of gaining gratitude for any of her endeavors but just to empower and improve her nursing colleagues.
