Maggie was compassionate, kind, and very professional. She took the time to meet my mother's needs. She engaged in conversation and took my mom's mind off of being a patient. She stayed on top of my mom's medical needs with fluids, food, medication, warm blankets, and much more. She patiently assisted her with using the bathroom. While my mom was embarrassed, Maggie assured her there was nothing to be ashamed of, even when mom experienced some discomfort; Maggie held her hand and comforted her until she was finished. She helped to clean her up and sat her up in bed for rest.
When I walked into the hall, I could hear Maggie fondly engaging with her team and addressing other patients. At no point did we ever feel rushed with her quality of care. She even offered me sheets for the pull-out couch and food to eat, because she knew I drove up from Washington, D.C. to be with my mother. Above and beyond the call of service.
