Margaret Murtagh is the quintessential registered nurse, who respects the profession of nursing immensely.  Mrs. Murtagh is patient, caring and compassionate, which is easily felt by all who encounter her.  When working with students, her utmost message is professionalism, safety and quality patient care.  Mrs. Murtagh has assisted with the students in the Patricia Nelson Nursing Learning Resource Center with health assessment, simulations and skills practice.  Her desire is for beginning nurses to enter into our profession with feelings of security.  And she, herself, has never backed away from a learning opportunity to make the experiences for nursing students a little better with each endeavor.
Margaret Murtagh is excellent to work with as new students in the nursing program.  She has a way of simplifying what otherwise feels like dense, overwhelming material. Her teaching is clear, concise and efficient.  She is extremely kind and caring. She has been with us (her nursing students) from the beginning, and is always patient, keeps us focused, and is always encouraging.  She is always there for us.  Margaret Murtagh is a true representation of the meaning behind the Daisy Faculty Award!
