I am writing to tell you of the outstanding nursing care my mother received during her recent stay in the Cardiac Care Unit at WRMC after having suffered a heart attack while with our extended family on an out of state vacation. The nurses in the CCU were of incredible help during what was a difficult time for us.
Nicole and Margaret were the ideal of what anyone could ever want in a nurse - super competent, calm, caring, and friendly. They were attentive and helpful at all times, and even stopped on their way out for the day just to check in. Maybe it was a small act, but it was so greatly appreciated.
I have no idea how you have managed to build such a culture of caring at WRMC, but it could and should be a model for hospitals everywhere. These nurses may not remember our family specifically as they no doubt see so many in our situation. That's okay; we will remember them. We want them to know just how much their good work and compassion are appreciated.
