Margaret Orell, BSN, RN, CCRN

Margaret was pulled to our ICU when her patient became unexpectedly sick, needing an emergency procedure in the OR. The surgeon called us afterwards to tell us her patient's condition was devastating and to prepare for the worst.

Margaret worked tirelessly at the bedside to give her patient the best chance she could. No matter how stressful the situation was she remained calm and compassionate throughout. Her patient is so lucky to have had her today.

Only one family member is able to be at this patient’s bedside at the moment and she has expressed how hard it has been on her. Margaret is currently sitting in the room with her talking to her like she would an old friend about anything and everything just so she wouldn’t have to be alone. I am so impressed by her and feel lucky to have worked with her today.
