I would like to bring to your attention a time Maggie went above and beyond her job description to show generosity of her time and spirit. Last Spring, Maggie was caring for a patient that was here for an extended amount of time. Her spouse was exhausted from sleeping in a recliner chair every night at the bedside, afraid to leave her side. One day, Maggie was working the day shift and offered to stay the night so her spouse could get a good night's rest. She would stay off the clock with this patient. He finally agreed and was able to go home and rest peacefully knowing Maggie was by her side all night. I was working that night and every time I looked at her sleeping in that recliner I was so proud of Maggie's compassionate care.
