A patient had his right leg amputated. It was emotionally devastating for the patient. There was a deep wound in the groin area and large sores on the residual limb. Maggie was exceptional at explaining why certain dressings were being used and what was to be expected. The patient feared infection and death, so he had issues sleeping. Maggie gave him peace of mind by explaining everything in detail and making the patient comfortable so that he could heal completely.
