Margaret always goes above and beyond to make all of her staff feel important and heard.
Margaret went above and beyond. She was showing up early on days of work and making sure the clinic has support and runs smoothly along with supporting all staff needs.
***
There are too many instances that Margaret role-modeled compassion but one that stood out is that during the COVID surge she was working late with us and that she would even drive back for the night shift and bring them food. We truly felt we were cared for. Everybody in the UCC is family. We look out and we help each other because Maggie fostered that rapport within the team. She understands the dynamic of the team. Our registration to discharge flow is important due to changes implemented by the management team from revising room assignments, changing lunch breaks to better triage, these have all contributed to our improved times. She is always very supportive of us trying to make ourselves better. She tries to work with those who are going to school to further their studies. How many of the staff that is pursuing further studies in nursing are still able to balance work, school, and family life.
I believe Maggie is a true DAISY Nurse if not solely for how she’s impacted my life as a nurse but, also for how she’s made coming to work a joy. We go above and beyond for our patients because that is what our manager, Margaret Sanfratello does for us.

Margaret is always encouraging to my goals in the professional nursing world as well as encouraging to my coworkers. She is readily available and helps contribute mutual respect throughout our working environment.

Ms. Sanfratello is the nurse manager in our unit. As I have observed her throughout the years, I realize she is a hardworking individual. She is pulled in so many directions by so many, but she remains calm. She comes through with requests from medical providers and finds answers to them even in the busiest of times. I would have been overwhelmed with the work and responsibilities she carries between several units. I never see her upset; she may be firm at times, but I think it comes at appropriate times. She focuses on her business and wants others to do the same. She is not one who wants to be on stage but one who works the managerial trenches and prefers others to receive the praise. She is respected by her staff and well-liked. She really does her best to be flexible with staff and accommodate their needs. I think this is an important characteristic of someone who holds a leadership role. She is a hardworking nurse manager and deserves some applause in these difficult times in the health system. Margaret has a good rapport and is very helpful to staff.

Margaret works really hard, advocates for us and our patients. Whenever we have questions or suggestions she is patient with us and looks for answers and solutions if needed. In the past, when we've had emergencies and whenever assistance was needed she rushed to assist. She also never gets a break from us and has been there for us 24/7 through phone calls, text, email, during the night shift, and even while on vacation. In addition to her management duties and overseeing 3 units, she has also rolled up her sleeves to assist on the floor and do whatever work needs to be done.
During the Covid-19 surge, she would come on her weekends off to check in on the unit and kept us updated on any changes. Maggie is an example of a great leader we should all aspire to be.

Maggie is an amazing manager, she makes our unit feel like we are family. I know I am not the only person who feels like this. Maggie is more than just our boss. She is our leader, our voice, our confidant, our friend, and many many more things. I do things properly not because I fear my manager but because I respect her and would hate to let her down. Maggie is always empathetic to our needs. She will always try to find a way to make things work. I consider myself very lucky to work under her supervision.
