Margy Couillard, RN

“This award is meant to recognize the extraordinary compassion nurses provide to their patients and families,” said her nominator. “We often think about the amazing work that they do in a clinic or hospital, but can forget about those who work out in the field providing hospice and home care services. Margy is a great example of what excellent care looks like in that setting.” After a patient passed away, Margy went out of her way to make sure their surviving family member was supported and cared for. She stayed until other family members arrived, ensuring they were not alone during a very difficult time. “Margy truly represents what it means to be an excellent nurse and is more than deserving of the honor of a DAISY Award.
