Maria is an astonishingly considerate and capable nurse. Watching her work graveyard - or rather hardly being able to watch her as she moved almost silently through the door - was to see an efficiency nonpareil. Maria would combine tasks on the fly to get as much done in the shortest time possible, allowing her patient to rest undisturbed as much as possible. Her knowledge of medicines appeared encyclopedic - one suspects you could quiz her on specific pages of the PDR. In short, it was a great privilege having her as my nurse. She's not working tonight on what I expect is my last night on unit and I miss her already.
