Maria Rodriguez is a life-saver. Her home visit lifted a burden that I didn’t even know was there. Maria’s attitude and attentiveness allowed me the permission to enjoy my new role of parent and enjoy my baby more. This is what motherhood should be—joy. Maria came into my home with an open mind and an open heart. She is an invaluable resource for everything involving parents and babies. After every topic we went over, she would ask, “What else?” She made me feel comfortable to talk about anything. Maria “unstressed” me with my schedule, and techniques to promote efficient eating, and suggested a different type of bottle that would encourage faster eating. This process had my baby gaining appropriate weight (just in time for a flawless one-month check-up). I don’t want to think about what would’ve happened had I not met Maria. Her compassion shows the lengths to which she is willing to go for her patients. Her experience shows the ways in which she is able to connect with her patients and make them feel comfortable. Her knowledge shows she listens and considers issues in an inquisitive and respectful manner. In all the ways that she helped both me and my baby shows that Maria is truly a lives-safer.
