Maria Christopher is fantastic, energetic, and always a caring nurse. She cares about every patient and family member that comes through our doors! While I was the charge nurse for our unit a few weeks ago in the pediatric ER; it was very busy with many squad calls bringing in some pretty sick kids. Maria did a great job of taking care of a critical patient that day. She was able to provide one on one care and was still able to take care of many more patients. The patient's mother had been very anxious from the first moment that the patient had arrived. Maria was able to make the mother feel relaxed from the start. She offered the family emotional support, providing nourishment and updates on the status of the patient quite often. Maria always performs thorough assessments, provides a high quality of care, and always makes sure that her patient is safe at all times. Maria gave a great report and went out of her way to update the receiving hospital about the patient. Thank you, Maria, for taking care of this patient and all patients that you care for daily.
