Maria has been caring for my husband, prior to his TAVR. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. She is a wonderful nurse. We have been fortunate to have Maria care for my husband and our family on several admissions and she always remembers us. She is one of the reasons that this is such a wonderful hospital. Maria caught a new mental status change in a patient, which we don't see often here. She was diligent and tracked her mental status closely. Her observation led to the patient being sent to the OR for an urgent procedure. This was an excellent catch by an excellent nurse, who kept the patient and the family calm during a stressful time.
