My brother was admitted, didn’t want me there, and needed your care. He wasn’t himself; he is challenging at home, and I can imagine what he must have been like in your care. He received amazing care from this nurse. She showed the human side of a man who didn’t even really care for himself. We were told this nurse took the time to sit him in a chair and have a casual conversation with him. She brushed his hair and braided it. My brother said he really felt special and was even tearing up. Thank you for caring for my brother; every human being you come in contact with must get the same feeling. This nurse is everything this award stands for.
