Maria Da Costa, Registered Nurse

Maria Costa is an outstanding nurse. My son has been in Charing Cross Hospital for over two years. He is very disabled and needs full support. Maria is superb at her job. The care she gave to my son was outstanding. Maria provided excellent mouth care, thorough support in all aspects of my son's personal care, and transferred him to his wheelchair even before I arrived (this may seem a strange thing to say, but mostly, this is left to me to instruct the staff to do so). She went out of her way to make sure my son was comfortable. It’s very apparent that she is a hard worker, and I have no doubt she will go far. I hope AAU recognises how good Maria is. But above all, she is truly kind, and that, in my opinion, is one of the greatest gifts she brings to her patients. I only found out today that Maria is relatively newly qualified. How confident she is at what she does. Please put Maria forward for The DAISY Award for her wonderful contribution to nursing. Thank you.
