2 years ago, we started working on Med-Tele as new nurses. Maria was the nurse who guided us in every situation. She taught us many new things that we used in our daily shifts while we are taking care of our patients. Maria listens to every nurse with patience and helps everybody, regardless of whether she is busy. She tries to cover every circumstance in a calm and quiet manner. As a charge nurse, Maria makes your job easier and comfortable. She takes a stand for nurses on the unit and is behind each nurse in each and every step. We had a new nurse whose patient coded, and the nurse panicked, but Maria helped her patient. She did a good job taking charge as a mentor and a floor nurse. After taking care of the patient, Maria calmed the nurse and taught her how to handle these kinds of situations. We want to thank and appreciate Maria for all that she is doing for our floor and all the nurses. She is perfect for every role. Maria deserves to be a DAISY Nurse for all of her roles and duties.
