Maria Deditius, RN BSN

I am writing this note to recognize Maria and her above-and-beyond care during my stay at your hospital.  I was transported to the Hospital ER. It was determined after 6 hours in the ER that I had fractured my pelvis in two places. Surgery was not an option. I was taken to the 3rd floor. There, I was greeted by a team of nurses who welcomed me and took me into their care. My primary nurse was Maria, and we just hit it off. She was caring, funny, and so easy to talk to. She was knowledgeable and answered my questions so I could understand. Four days later, I was transported to rehab. Maria discovered that I had left my walker at the hospital. She called my niece and told her that she would be bringing it up to me. A few days later, lo and behold, Maria showed up with my shiny red walker. Who does that? I feel very blessed to have met Maria and to be taken such good care of by her.
