Maria DiMaio, BSN, RN
I am currently a traveling nurse here on 8T. Ever since I started working here, Maria only has gone over the top to make sure I feel welcomed and not alone as I am getting to know the unit and protocols, but she goes above and beyond for her patients. For example, at discharge, one patient didn’t have payment for their meds. So she covered it. Another time a patient wasn’t getting rest due to an uncomfortable mattress and she had her husband buy a waffle mattress pad! Her thoughtfulness truly does not go unnoticed. Patients are always talking highly about Maria and the care she provides and she truly is a constant reminder of why were are in the nursing field!
