Maria Edwards offered emotional support and a hug when needed. Those things mean a lot to you when you are laying in a hospital bed after being told you have cancer. Even on a day when she was working in another area, she made time to come to my room and check on me. She is a wonderful nurse and very compassionate. Maria is very kind, nice and her customer service is amazing. She was always enthusiastic and doing everything to get me better. She always assured me that I was going in a positive direction and pushed me each day to get better. She made me feel comfortable and always answered my questions. She made me laugh and smile even though I was in pain. Overall, she is what a nurse should be. She excels at her job and goes above and beyond for me. I was nervous about getting a suppository, but she made me feel comfortable and always checked in on me. Maria made my experience ten times better and I thank her very much. Maria was amazing. She engaged in my off-brand humor and helped keep my spirits up. She always communicated clearly about what was happening and about my responsibilities to make progress. She was friendly and gave me time when she had it. I am truly grateful for her presence each day. It made my stay and progress manageable. I spend a lot of time at doctor's offices, and I meet a lot of care providers. Maria is top-notch. Her attitude and care even when the news was hard or complicated blew me away. She deserves significant recognition for her work.
