Maria has been such a wonderful nurse to my husband. She answers our questions very well and clearly. It feels great to have someone who talks on a straight and forward level. Not down to anyone. She not only stays positive to the patient but to the spouse of the patient as well. The encouragement and positivity to both of us have been amazing and she deserves a lot of credit to help my husband's healing process. From the bottom of my heart and a great big hug.

Additionally, Maria demonstrates commitment daily. One day she far surpassed herself. We were extremely short-staffed one night. We needed a donner and doffer for our COVID-19 patient. She not only stayed late to don and doff, but she took on patients with high acuity levels. Had it not been for her willingness to do what helped the most we would have had a very challenging shift. Thank you for your teamwork, awesome attitude, and consideration for not only your peers but most importantly our Veterans.
