"Maria was a REAL (Resourceful, Efficient, Attentive, Loving) nurse who went out of her way to make sure my sister was taken care of and had everything she needed. My sister had a terrible experience at another hospital and was in a lot of pain. Maria was very compassionate and understanding. She made sure my sister was not in pain and did her dressing change on her wound and made sure she got something to eat since my sister is diabetic. Please consider Maria for the DAISY award because of her compassion and attentiveness. She also gave my sister a hug at the end of her shift which was extra special.
