My sister was admitted after a colon resection. She had just been diagnosed with two types of cancers and was frightened about surgery and all that would follow. When my sister arrived on the floor, the floodgates opened. The nurse was so caring and offered the support I so badly needed. When my sister was awake in the morning she was once again caring and compassionate. Her clinical skills, in my opinion, were exemplary. As my sister's clinical presentation changed, the nurse explained what she was doing. She explained things so that we clearly understood the purpose. Our family will never forget her for easing our fears and providing my sister with excellent nursing care.
