Maria held my hand through some tears and smiled with me and laughed with me and showed true empathy.
My Mom was admitted to the SICU because she was septic and could not maintain her blood pressure. The entire situation was very scary. My Mom was confused, very emotional, and could at times say some not-so-nice things to both us as her family and the staff that was doing all they could to take care of her. We have had several hospital stays within the last 2 months and Maria was so kind and patient with both my Mom and my family. She would react immediately when Mom’s stats fluctuated and was great about talking to and explaining things to us. She is a gem and HMC should be proud to have her on staff. By far my favorite!

Maria is the most loving and caring nurse I’ve ever met. We knew my Daddy was in good hands. She would explain everything clearly so we could understand the care she was giving my Daddy. She was always on top of every situation. It made my heart happy when she told us she was praying for Daddy. I know she had to be tired working 12 hours and having to tend to a baby when she got home but she never once stopped and slowed down. I’m sure Maria has found her purpose in life being a critical care nurse. My family and I are so thankful Maria was working that Saturday when my Dad was most critical. With God’s help, Maria and the other nurses working together, he made it through.

Wonderful nurse, very compassionate, trustworthy. Thank you, Maria. Keep doing what you do. Much love and respect. Maria held my hand through some tears and smiled with me and laughed with me and showed true empathy.

My husband spent four nights in SICU and he was well taken care of during his stay. His nurse was Maria who is an Extraordinary Nurse. She goes beyond her nursing duties to help patients and their families. She is devoted to her patients and gives them 110%. When he needed care she was always there. This experience for my husband and myself was reassuring that Hamilton Medical SICU has some wonderful and caring nurses. Maria was a great nurse, helping always with her coworkers. We rate Maria with high honors. Greatly appreciated.
