Maria Luisa demonstrated great patient advocacy as she "appropriately escalated the needs of the patient", being persistent in ensuring the patient received the appropriate level of care, as described by a co-worker. Maria Luisa also demonstrated compassion by helping calm an agitated patient, as well as caring for the emotional needs of the patient's mother. Maria "never hesitates to take the most difficult of patients, and then gives it her all for patient care!".
