Maria was the first nurse I met here. She was energetic, attentive and caring. She took the time and effort to get to know me and not only focus on my procedure or on getting me discharged and out.
She listened about my passions and interests and shared hers. She even took the time to watch a clip of my synchronized skating competition video on my laptop. She cared for me as a person and kept me informed about my health and care and made me feel like an active and respected participant.
