I had abdominal surgery. When I woke up, I was very nauseous plus had stomach pain. I wanted to die because I was suffering so much. I was supposed to go home at 6 pm but did not leave until after 10 pm. It was a prolonged recovery. Maria gave me medication for all my symptoms. The best part was that she gave me emotional support to get through this. She explained everything that was going on, and she taught me how to care for myself at home. She was honest with me that I would have pain.

Nurse Maria was very nice, helpful and very understanding to my needs. I had surgery to remove my gallbladder and nurse Maria was very cooperative and understanding as I was describing my pain and how I am feeling after surgery.  I appreciate everything Nurse Maria did for me.

I want to thank Maria Paradiso at NYU Langone in Brooklyn in PACU. My  son had a radical orchidectomy - Maria was so nice, professional ,, and spent so much time with him. We were all a nervous wreck with this whole thing , and she gave so much emotional support to us. He was in so much pain after and had to be medicated so many times - her main concern was making him more comfortable - she made calls to the doctor and did whatever she could for him - she was really our angel that day - we are so grateful to her

Thank you, Maria, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
