Maria took care of me when I came in to have my pacemaker placed. She was very attentive to my needs. She took the time to ask how I was doing and how my husband was doing at home without me. Due to COVID-19, my husband wasn't allowed to visit. She asked how long we have been married and I let her know that we would be celebrating 52 years this week. She was so sympathetic to the fact that we would not be together.
Maria made calls to 2 different physicians inquiring if there was any way I could be discharged a day early to be home with my husband even though patients typically stay an extra day. I didn't get discharged early, but it meant so much to me that she went that far for me. Maria checked on me at least hourly each day and made sure I had everything I needed. She sat with me at discharge and went over everything to expect after leaving the hospital and new medications. She did an excellent job and gave great care. She is doing a wonderful job for MV and this community.
