From an early age, Maria knew that her mission in life would be that of helping those around her and in her community. After working for 4 years in assisted Living Maria realized that the best way to have a lasting impact on the lives of her patients was to become involved in community nursing. It was that she began her career at Woodhull Hospital in the Paul Paroski clinic where she continues to impact the lives of patients and staff every day, which is evidenced by her receiving the Innovative Nurse Award for 2018. She pursues her tireless quest for excellence by learning Arabic, and American Sign Language while pursuing her next level of nursing education.
