From the moment she entered the room, Nurse Maria Ortega showed an extraordinary level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication. She took the time to carefully explain every procedure, making sure we understood each step and even going the extra mile to communicate clearly in our first language (Spanish). Maria’s attentiveness to my husband’s needs was remarkable. Her precision in handling medications and monitoring equipment made us feel safe and cared for, while her gentle manner reminded us that behind the professional uniform is someone who truly loves what she does. Our experience at Good Samaritan Hospital deepened our respect and admiration for all nurses. In moments when one faces a cancer diagnosis and surgery, finding such dignity, respect, and love in the care Maria provided is an incredible blessing.
