I am honored to nominate Theresa Stamey—known affectionately to all of us as Nurse Tess—for the DAISY Award. Tess exemplifies the very essence of compassionate, patient-centered nursing and is truly the heartbeat of our Residential Treatment Center at Parkridge Valley.
Nurse Tess consistently goes above and beyond in her role, working tirelessly not only for the children in our care but also for the staff who depend on her guidance, strength, and support. She routinely puts in extra hours each week, never hesitating to step in wherever she is needed. Her commitment is unwavering, and her presence brings reassurance and stability to an environment that often requires both.
What sets Tess apart is her rare combination of kindness and clinical excellence. She approaches every patient with a gentle demeanor, meeting each child where they are with empathy, patience, and dignity. At the same time, her clinical skills are exceptional—she is knowledgeable, precise, and deeply committed to delivering the highest standard of care. Her actions consistently reflect the quality and values we strive for at HCA.
