April 2025 Honoree
Mariah Castleberry, RN
During my 2 weeks in Mountain View floor of RRH, I had many wonderful nurses; however, Mariah Castleberry stood out as a special person.
Her special attributes can be spelled out as follows:
N – No problem, Mariah’s answer to any question.
U – Understand my needs and questions.
R – Reassuring me that everything was going to be OK.
S – Smile, Mariah always had a smile when coming into my room.
E – Efficient and energetic in everything she did.
Mariah also listened to my stories and, in exchange, told me about her son, fiancée, and their new house. Keeping me interested in things other than my problems.
I also know that Mariah’s smile helped my wife walk on as her life ended on the same floor 2 months earlier.
Thank you, Mariah, for being someone special.
