She takes the time to listen and make you feel heard and not alone.
I would like to thank Mariah for making one of the most challenging and vulnerable times in my life so much easier with her care. I have horrible anxiety, and Mariah’s calm, friendly, and understanding ways helped shape a scary time into one to remember and celebrate. I will never forget being so overwhelmed, frustrated, and in pain, but Mariah helped my baby in ways that will stay with me for life. She takes the time to listen and make you feel heard and not alone. One major thing was when I had a nurse who was abrasive, unpleasant, and insensitive; she (Mariah) recognized I was upset and asked me to share what was happening. I explained what the nurse had done, and Mariah was quick to help solve the problem. This meant so much to me in ways that are hard to explain.

On what seemed to be the longest, hardest nights of my life – she was there in ways I don’t even think she knows how impactful her presence and skill are/were. She made me feel safe and understood. All while helping educate me about my new many, as I have never done this before. She is thorough and consistent. She is compassionate and helps lessen hard times with good humor. It truly is hard to write out how amazing she is. She went above and beyond as a “baby nurse” by also helping care for me. She deserves this award, plus so much more. Thank you, Mariah! We will never forget you.
