Mariah Schmidt, RN

Mariah was my dad’s nurse during his chemo treatments. She made him comfortable and confident throughout his treatment. He wasn’t able to eat much and was losing weight, so she asked what he wanted to eat for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She then brought him meals on her time off so that he would eat something he wanted and gain weight. When he got to ring the bell after completing radiation, Mariah came in on her day off to be there for him and cheer him on. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mariah. We will always remember her and the compassion she showed during such a difficult time for all of us. She went above and beyond to do so many things outside of her job description for my dad. Mariah is a blessing to her patients and an incredible asset to the CoxHealth system.
