“Positivity,” she reminded me on the last morning of my stay in the psychiatric unit. Continually compassionate, upbeat and uplifting, with a beautifully accented voice, Mariama not only remembered me from previous unfortunate visits, she encouraged me today with details of specific goals I had set for my future. I am so grateful for ALL of the exemplary nursing care I received during this visit, but Mariana especially touched my heart.
