Marian once again took my loved one under her arms and provided the best care to my sister.
Marian is frequently mentioned by her patients and their family members upon rounding for providing such wonderful, compassionate care as well as being recognized by her peers for being an all-around great nurse! What makes this nomination so special is that it came from a nursing peer, who was on the other side of the bed with a family member! Please see her winning nomination below:
Marian my Marian. It’ll be impossible to find every positive adjective to describe my Marian. Like all new nurses after 6 months we have to eventually float to another unit to help out when one unit is short. My day had finally arrived to float to the 3rd floor. Knowing and hearing how difficult the 3rd floor was it would be a lie to say I wasn’t nervous or intimidated. Marian my Marian took me in and helped me and made sure I was able to complete all necessary tasks, especially given from my usual 2 ICU patients to 4-5 patients on the floor.
Not only was I able to work side-by-side with Marian, I was also on the opposite side of the bed with my sister in whom Marian was her SDS nurse. Like any operative procedure, it’s scary. Marian once again took my loved one under her arms and provided the best care to my sister. I’m beyond thankful for Marian’s caring, kind-hearted spirit. The world needs more people like Marian. She has a smile to light up any room and to ease any doubt or worry. I can’t thank her enough for being a good support system for me as well as for my sister.
Thank you, Marian, for your compassionate, connected care and for providing excellent care to our patients and family members!
