My wife had a TAVR procedure. Marianna Mandel was the ICU nurse for my wife. Marianna was extremely attentive and compassionate. Marianna made it a point that my wife was comfortable and had no issues with her care. The following day, was my 80th birthday. Marianna purchased me a birthday lunch with a piece of chocolate cake. On the container that the cake was in she wrote a birthday wish. This is a sure sign of compassion. Marianna is the type of nurse who makes my wife and I want to receive care from Conemaugh Hospital even though we live quite a distance from the hospital. After being released from care, Marianna took my wife down to the valet pick-up area. She gave each of us a goodbye hug and wished us a safe trip home because the weather was extremely bad.
