"Baby" was just 2 days old. The grandmother of the baby wanted to compliment Marianne. I could sense the excellent rapport. Member stated that she was a nurse for 30 years. Member was so astonished by Marianne's skill with pediatrics that she provided her number ...when I told her that I would be forwarding her comments about her experience with Marianne. Member stated that she was a DAISY recipient and wanted to be a part of the decision and was glad to learn that KP also participated in the DAISY Award Program. Specifically, the member stated that the skill and expertise of having a pediatric ARN familiar with the feeding/lactation of a preemie-newborn were critical for her new granddaughter's health. Finally, the mother of the newborn was part of the conversation briefly, I could hear her appreciation as well. Great job Marianne.
