To be extraordinary is to be very unusual or remarkable. When I think of an Extraordinary Nurse, I think of Maribel Yohn. There’s not a particular instance or patient for which she has gone above and beyond because she goes above and beyond for every patient every day. She not only goes above and beyond for those who have trusted her to take care of them, but she goes above and beyond for her coworkers as well. There is not a time that another nurse needed help, and Maribel didn’t offer a hand. She shows up to work early and works tirelessly every minute she is there to make sure everyone around her feels supported and taken care of. I know that there are other great nurses, but I feel like there are few that compare to Maribel. She is truly extraordinary. She is a DAISY that will never wilt.
