Maricar is one of the new nurses in the ED helping lead the transformation of emergency medicine in the VA Medical Center. Her addition to our team has been tremendous in helping to fix various deficiencies. She treats our veterans with the utmost respect and provides leadership on a consistent basis.

In an emergency even if the patient is not assigned to her, Maricar is always there assisting the patient. She also makes sure that you are comfortable. Maricar is proactive in promoting advanced triage protocol in the ED. We are very proud to have her as a member of our team, she is a solid foundation for leadership for our staff. We certainly hope she remains with the VA in the foreseeable future.
