Maricca has just walked out a young lady who had been seen and accompanied by her father when she heard a commotion in the waiting area. She immediately looked to see what had happened and found that the patient's father had collapsed into another patient. He was gray, ashen, and diaphoretic. She took charge of the situation and asked her fellow store employees to call 911. Maricca was able to keep the young patient calm as EMS worked on her father. Maricca also called her patient's mother to explain what was happening so she could meet them at the ER. Maricca went above and beyond to ensure the patient was cared for and the customer the father fell into was not injured.
